Recreational Results

Results for Recreational events are processed on computer using the 'Development System'.

DanceScore

This method of assessment requires Adjudicators to assign a 'score' to the competitor in the same way an Examiner gives a score for a Theory Test or a Medal Examination. Scores are then assessed by the software and any scores outside of the range allowed are removed from calculation. The remaining scores are then averaged.

At the conclusion of the competition the DSA Scrutineer will generate a file from the system that contains the result of every Recreational event and the Points associated with those events. This file is then uploaded to the DSA Server where they are applied to the online database.

These results can be viewed through the 'Search Recreational' function located in the 'Recreational' menu item. Clicking on a competitors name will open the competition history for that person however it will not display their 'Points Status'. Whilst all sporting results are a part of the public domain a competitor's 'Points Status' and other private data are not, these can only be viewed through their Recreational Account.

The Amateur and Professional Divisions are scrutineered using the 'Skating System'. This method requires the Adjudicator to place the couples in a order from first to last. If you want to learn about how the 'Skating System' works ...Click Here.
