Recreational Participation
Recreational Division competitions are based on the individual competitor unlike Amateur Graded events which are based around 'couples'.
Competition Organisers are encouraged to offer Recreational events that are aimed at competitors that learn in group classes and do not have a regular dance partner. Recreational events may include but not limited to:
Solo Events (no partner),
Lead Events (with a recreational partner),
Follow Events (with a recreational partner), and
Recreational Couples.
Competition Organisers make decisions on the type and range of events they offer depending on cost & time considerations.
All Recreational Events regardless of whether 'Solo','Couple' or 'Lead/Follow' will be tracked by the DSA Scrutineering system.
Competitors can view their results through their online accounts.
Recreational Couple Events will be included in the DSA Recreational Ranking System.
