Low Cost
The Recreational Division is a low cost environment in which competitors pay a reduced registration fee and do not wear competition attire.
Joining DSA
The Recreational Registration fee is the lowest registration fee in the DSA structure. The 2025 fee is $35. Click here to join DSA
Dancing Attire
Unlike other sports there is no special equipment required to participate in DanceSports at this level. Competition costuming is not worn in the Recreational Division.
Group Tuition
As with all other entry level sports, the Recreational Division has been designed to cater for participants having tuition in groups. Competition Organisers are encouraged to run events that do not require regular partners, (i.e. Lead/Follow Events).
