Rankings are built from points won in events tagged for Ranking Status. An event tagged 'Adult Open' may contain competitors from other age groups – Youth or Masters – and those competitors gain a position in the Adult Rankings.

A further allocation is given to couples competing outside their own age group. A Masters 3 couple competing in a Masters 1 Open event is also allocated points in the Masters 3 age group.

The points awarded are the number of couples you beat, plus one. First place in an event of 10 couples is 10 points.

Formula: (total in event − your place) + 1

Rankings run over a rolling 12 months and are rebuilt automatically as results from each competition are added. Where couples are tied on points, the couple that won those points in the fewest events is ranked higher.

NOTE: points belong to the COUPLE. They cannot be carried over to a new partnership.
