What is Dance Up!?
The Dance Up! Sporting Schools Program is DanceSport Australia's official program under the Australian Government's Sporting Schools initiative, administered through the Australian Sports Commission.
Sporting Schools is designed to help schools increase children's participation in sport and to connect students with community sporting opportunities. More than forty national sporting organisations take part. Dance Up! is the DanceSport option.

How it works
Dance Up! delivers structured, age-appropriate DanceSport programs in schools, taught by accredited Trainers from a DanceSport Australia Endorsed Provider. Sessions are built on the Playing for Life Game Sense Approach, creating a safe, inclusive and challenging environment that complements your school's existing sport and PE curriculum.
- Level 1 — Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificate, for Years 5 and 6
- Level 2 — Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal, for Years 7 and 8
Each level runs for up to three terms of lessons, with a minimum of four sessions of 45 to 60 minutes delivered to each student. Schools are encouraged to finish each term with a display or an in-school competition, and to present awards.
Full details of each level are on the Programs page.
