Question

What happens if I need to withdraw from a competition or a specific event at a competition?

Answer

If you are withdrawing your entry to the whole competition you should contact that organiser as soon as possible, as this could have significant effects on the timetable of the day and could impact other competitors. If you need to withdraw from one or more specific events on the day of a competition, but will still be competing in some, you should find the organiser or Chairman of Adjudicators and inform them of the exact event number/s from which you are withdrawing. If, in the unusual circumstance you cannot find either the organiser or the Chairman, you should contact the Marshal and let them know. It is very important that you inform a DSA official of your withdrawal; do not simply be absent from the scheduled event, which is very unfair on fellow competitors.
