International Competitors entering Australian Competitions

Competitors wanting to compete in DanceSport Australia (DSA) events must be registered as an International Competitor with DSA and obtain a CID number.

Note that International Competitors must be registered by the Member Body in their country.

To register please fill out the required online application form.

Press here for International Competitor registration form.

Once submitted and approved, the competitor will be issued a CID Number which will be used to enter Australian Competitions via the DSA Entry System.

The approval process normally takes around 1 - 2 business days (a little longer on weekends).

Proof of age may be required.

Yearly renewal is required to ensure your details are updated each year on 1st January.

If you have a CID number from last year, please renew your details by filling out the above form.  Your CID number will remain the same upon approval.

Gradings...

All International Competitors will be set to A Grade in the DSA grading system. This allows you to dance all 'Open' events at DSA registered competitions.

New Zealand competitors only may be set to B or C Grade according to the Australian elevation system and their equivalent in New Zealand. If this is required, please send an email to events@dancesport.org.au and include your full name, birth date and CID number. Please list your required gradings for the 3 styles; Standard, Latin and New Vogue.

Proof of gradings may be required.
