Next up on our roster of leading NSW professionals is Nicole Byrnes! Some of Nicole's extensive achievements include the following

Former 5 x Australian National Professional Latin Champion

Australian World Rep & Quarter Finalist in '98+'99 World Pro Latin Championships

British Open Professional Latin Quarter Finalist '96'+98

UK Open Professional Rising Star Latin Finalist '95

A few things you may not know about Nicole Byrnes:

1. Nicole started Ballroom dancing at 11 yrs in Ontario, Canada having also trained as a competitive Figure skater from the age of 5-13 yrs

2. After a successful tryout with Neale Byrnes (from Australia) in Montreal, Canada in 1994, Neale & Nicole moved to the UK to train, and after what was to be a short visit to meet his family and compete in Sydney, they decided to settle in Australia, marrying and opening Byrnes Dance Image in 1995.

3. Nicole was inspired by the her coaches: Denis & Adele Tremblay, Jean-Marc Genereux, June McMurdo, Colin James, Michael Stylianos, Larry & Kerry Clarke, Jason Gilkison, and Sports Coach Michael Dayes.

4. Most memorable career highlights: competing at the World Pro Latin Championships in Sun City, South Africa, performing on stage at the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony, and performing in Hong Kong and Seoul, Korea whilst 4 months pregnant!

5. Nicole competed against her sister, Tanya Cardinal, throughout her career – Tanya ran her studio Viva Dance in Toronto, Canada until her passing in 2016 whilst Neale competed against his brother, John, throughout his career - John owns JJ's Dance Studio in Beckenham (South London).

6. Working actively in the DanceSport industry as a Professional competitor, performer, coach, studio propietor and competition organisor, Nicole's biggest achievement is her beautiful family of three daughters, all of whom dance: Nikita, Naomi and Natalia.

7. Choosing to stay positive during this current world of unknowns, Nicole feels that the DanceSport Industry has an oppoturnity to return stronger, more focused and more passionate with an exciting future ahead
