Highlighting the need for greater investment in Sport Participation

Case Study No. 7 - DanceSport Australia

As part of the ongoing advocacy of the Federal Government to increase funding for sport participation, particularly those programs funded by Sport Australia under the Move It Aus banner, the Confederation of Australian Sport have been conducting a series of NSO Case Studies to highlight what important outcomes have been achieved with the Government funds.

DanceSport Australia was asked to participate as a case study and discuss the development and growth of Para Dance and Special Ability dance and the importance of funding.

The video gives an overview of how the programs started in WA and the journey to being able to offer a social, medallist and competitive pathway for all Para Dancers and Special Ability dancers.
