The number of Events a competition is required to run has steadily increased over the past 30 years. The industry has added multiple Age Groups over this period, the last being Masters III.
Competition Organisers are obligated to offer Events in all Age Groups and Levels because our current Elevation System requires a competitor to win an eligible Event to gain Points. If there are no eligible Events, competitors cannot Elevate.
Reduction in Events
The introduction of Grades will effectively see four Levels of competition condense to three Grades. A set of rules has now been put in place to facilitate the change in 2014 from 'Levels' to 'Grades'. Click Here to go to these rules.
For 2014 Organisers need only run Events for A(or Open), B & C Grade, therefore reducing the Events they are required to offer.
