
NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE
The Nominations Committee is required under the DanceSport Australia Constitution and is a key component of strong governance assisting the full Board with matters relating to Board and Executive retention, motivation, renewal, succession planning and recruitment and ensuring Board Members’ interests align with those of DanceSport Australia.

The key responsibilities of the Nominations Committee are:

Management of Board Succession both in terms of elected directors and appointed directors

Development and Maintenance of Board Skills Matrix which is a key tool for use by the Nominations Committee in Board Succession

Recruitment of Appointed Board Positions – the Nominations Committee will determine how many appointed positions are available each year and carry out the recruitment and appointment of these positions.

Election Process for Elected Board Directors - the Nominations Committee will determine how many positions are elected each year. There are up to five elected positions on the Board at any one time. The Committee will ensure the Election process is in accordance with General Meeting and election requirements in the Constitution.
