WDSF Releases Official Event Guide for the 2026 Brisbane World Breaking DanceSport Festival
The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has officially published the Event Guide for the inaugural 2026 Brisbane World Breaking DanceSport Festival, providing athletes, officials, and spectators with a complete overview of what promises to be a landmark gathering for Breaking on the international DanceSport calendar.

Taking place 17th and 18th January 2026, the festival will be hosted at the iconic Brisbane City Hall, in collaboration with DanceSport Australia Ltd. The event will feature a combination of high-level competitions, cultural performances, and educational programs celebrating the artistry, history, and diversity of Breaking.

The newly released guide outlines the competition programme, which includes:
- WDSF BfG World Series Breaking 1 vs 1 B-Boys Adult
- WDSF BfG World Series Breaking 1 vs 1 B-Girls Adult
- WDSF BfG World Series Breaking Team 3 vs 3 Mix
- WDSF BfG World Series Breaking 1 vs 1 B-Boys Youth
- WDSF BfG World Series Breaking 1 vs 1 B-Girls Youth
A full overview of the festival schedule, cultural experiences, and educational initiatives is also provided, ensuring participants and spectators can plan their visit to make the most of the two-day event.
The guide includes detailed information on venues, visa and entry requirements, and recommended accommodation. The publication of the Event Guide marks the beginning of the countdown to the first edition of the Brisbane World Breaking DanceSport Festival, establishing a milestone for Breaking in Australia and Oceania, and creating a foundation for future editions leading up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games.
