It's our second year of our groovy DanceSport Development Event, and we're turning up the heat to help you level up your dance game! Whether you're a seasoned competitor or just dipping your toe into the world of competitive DanceSport, this event is designed for YOU! We've crafted a brand new schedule packed with exciting events to give every dancer the ultimate chance to shine! Plus, we're offering FREE DSA Daypasses for all newbies stepping onto the dance floor for the first time in U16 or Recreational or Coach Student events! And guess what? We're continuing our special "Social Events" for our littlest dancers aged U13, U9, & U6! But wait, the fun doesn't stop there! Get ready to unleash your inner Disney character because we're turning up the magic with a Disney-themed fancy dress extravaganza! Show off your best costume for a chance to win some fabulous prizes! And here's the cherry on top: while many events raise their prices, we've done the opposite. Not only have we kept last year's early bird discounts fixed until the closing date, but we've also lowered spectator ticket prices to make it even easier for your family and friends to come and support you! But that's not all — We're thrilled to share that our upcoming event isn't just about dancing — it's about making a difference! We're proud to support Loud and Clear QLD, a self-advocacy group championing the rights and voices of individuals with intellectual disabilities in Queensland, Australia. Their mission to promote inclusivity and empowerment aligns perfectly with our values, and we're excited to contribute to their cause. At the event, you can show your support by bringing along your bottles and cans from home for donation, donate onsite with bottles and cans from the canteen or personally make a donation (more details below)! We're excited to announce that thanks to our partnership with DanceSport Australia, we're able to offer free DSA Day passes for any new first-time dancers who want to enter any U16, Recreational, or Coach Student events. Social Passes are specifically for our social events that are designed for first time dancers in the U6 age groups so they can get experience on the competition floor. In addition to our dance competitions, get ready for some extra fun and excitement! We've got awesome activities lined up to make your event experience unforgettable. Think raffles with amazing prizes, competitions for the best fancy dress and parent-child duos! These events are not only a blast but also your chance to snag some fantastic prizes! Even our Adjudicators and officials will be joining in on the fancy dress fun! P.S. Don't worry about getting hungry—we've got you covered with an onsite Jively Café serving up delicious food and refreshing beverages. |

Let's Dance for a Cause with Loud and Clear QLD! |

We're thrilled to partner with Parent to Parent on behalf of Loud and Clear QLD! Loud and Clear champions inclusivity for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Queensland. Join us at our event to support their empowering mission! By partnering with Containers for Change, you can contribute by donating your bottles and cans from home at the bins onsite at this year's Get Up and Groove Event or deposit any you may bring or purchase at the Jively Café. You can also make direct tax-deductible donations if that's more your style. Your contribution helps vital initiatives, including annual conferences fostering support and skills development, and the annual Loud and Clear Conference and Concert on October 9th, 2024. |
