DSA Database Upgrades

DSA Database Upgrades

DanceSport Australia has now completed further upgrades to the online database for Recreational competitors. This upgrade, along with the introduction of the Under 16 Division last year, has enabled us to merge all registrations into one single database.

What are the benefits?

These database upgrades will enable competitors to retain the same CID when moving between Divisions. For example, from Recreational or Under 16 to Amateur, and then later in their career to the Professional Division. This also streamlines the recording of results and will facilitate competitors to access their entire history of all competition results.

What changes will you see?

Recreational Competitors

All Recreational competitors have been allocated a new CID number.

When you login to your DSA Registration account you will automatically be directed to your new account. Please make sure you make note of your new CID number and use it for all your competition entries from now on.

All new CID’s are six-digit numbers and start with the number 5. In other words, your CID number will look something like, for example 509123

Under 16 Competitors

The commencement of 2020 saw the introduction of the Under 16 Division. All competitors aged under 16 years in both the Amateur and Recreational Divisions were merged together to form their very own Division.

Information was distributed for the introduction of this new Division early in the year... But then Covid-19 hit!

Many children have not entered any competitions for the last 12 months and have therefore not logged into their new registration accounts. Here is a reminder of the changes that occurred.

All Ex-Recreational children registered prior to 2020 were given new CID numbers.

When you login to your DSA Registration account you will automatically be directed to your new account. Please make sure you make note of your new CID number and use it for all your competition entries from now on.

There was no change made to any CID’s for children previously registered in the Amateur Division.

As explained above, all new CID’s are six-digit numbers and start with the number 5. In other words, your CID number will look something like, for example 509123
