2022 ADS Premiere DanceSport Championship
The Premiere, proudly presented by the Australian Dancing Society, has a new home for 2022 - the Broadmeadows Town Hall.
It's rather iconic that we are presenting an ADS event here as this venue was the original home of the Australian Ballroom Championship for many years. After its recent renovation, the venue will offer the dancers, and spectators, a wonderful atmosphere to bring out the best in your dancing.
We look forward to welcoming you to this new venue and sure you will be impressed!
We are offering a large range of events and have included for the first time First Year Registered events for the less experienced dancers, and Professional & Student single dance events, in addition to the Professional & Amateur events, now offering the opportunity to dance more events.

All entries via the DSA Entry System.

Entry Fees
- Under 16's - $2.00
- Over 16's - $3.00
- Coach/Student & Pro/Student - $10.00 per dance
- Pro/Am - $50 first event, $30 additional events
Please pay all Entry Fees via the DSA Entry System to validate your entry.
Admission fee to venue is additional and paid to ADS.

The Premiere 2022 will be conducted under the rules of Dancesport Australia and is a Championship event.
All restricted syllabus and restricted dancewear rules must be adhered to.
All competitors must be currently registered with Dancesport Australia.
Please refer to the schedule to see the included events in the two sections of the events - Morning and Afternoon/Evening sessions.
Age Groups:
- Sub Juvenile, Juvenile & Junior competitors must dance in one age group
- Sub Juvenile may dance in Juvenile Open events
- Under 21 may dance in Adult Open Events
- Masters 1 may dance in Adult Open Events
- Masters 2 may dance in Masters 1 Open Events
- Masters 3 may dance in Masters 2 Open Events
- Masters 4 may dance in Masters 3 Open Events
First Year Registered:
- First Year Registered events are for "LESS EXPERIENCED" competitors and eligible to anyone that has NOT competed prior to February 2021.
- This has been extended due to Covid lockdowns in Victoria. Please discuss with your teacher prior to entering, thank you for your cooperation.
Coach/Student:
- Only student is assessed by the Adjudicators
- Coach to be DSA Accredited
- Single dance events - $10.00 per dance
- Masters may dance down in one age group
Pro/Student:
- Only student is assessed by the Adjudicators
- Single dance events - $10.00 per dance
- Masters may dance down in one age group
Pro/Am:
- Couple is assessed by the Adjudicators
- 4 dance events - $50 first event, $30 additional events
- Masters may dance down in one age group
Professional:
- Prize money awarded as follows: 1st 400, 2nd $300, 3rd $200, 4th $100, 5th $50, 6th $50
General:
- Where events have limited competitors, the organisers will combine events, or share floor with similar events.
- Entry fees - Under 16's $2.00, Over 16's $3.00. Admission fee to venue is additional and paid to ADS.
