Question |
Am I allowed to speak to my coach on the day of a competition? |
Answer |
You are only permitted to speak to your coach on the day of a competition if your coach is not an Adjudicator at that same competition. In their role Adjudicators are required to be impartial and be seen to be impartial. There are firm rules regarding Adjudicators speaking to competitors and any breach of these rules could compromise their position as an Adjudicator and draw into question your results as a competitor. There may be very unusual circumstances, generally of a personal nature, whereby you may need to speak to your coach. If this is the case, you should first speak to the Chairman of Adjudicators and ask permission. |
