International Competitor Registration - Update 1 July 2025
Effective from 1 July 2025, all visiting international competitors wishing to participate in DanceSport Australia (DSA) events must be registered as International Competitors and obtain a CID registration number.
Important requirements:
- International Competitors must be registered by the National Member Body in their country and be financial for the current year.
- Passport verification required - All applicants must provide a scan of their current passport used for travel to Australia. Competitors may also be required to show the physical passport for verification at the competition.
- Proof of Coaching Accreditation required - All Coaches must provide proof of Coaching Accreditation to be eligible to dance in Coach/Student events. Coaches may also be required to show physical proof for verification at the competition. Once coaching accreditation verification has been completed, this is not required for future yearly renewals.
- Yearly renewal is required each year on 1st January.
- All Competitors and Coaches must adhere to the terms and conditions as set out by DanceSport Australia.
Grading information:
- All International Competitors will be set to A Grade in the DSA grading system. This allows entry into all 'Open' events offered at competitions.
- New Zealand competitors only may be set to B or C Grade according to the Australian elevation system and their equivalent in New Zealand. Official proof of New Zealand registration with Gradings is required.
