Notes
Both break steps go backward, so the couple travels away from each other's
feet rather than between them — the partners never come closer than they start.
Steps 11–15 repeat steps 1–5 and land on the same footprints; in “Show all steps”
those prints carry both numbers.
The body turns to face partner across the chasse (4 & 1). The feet travel
along the line back toward partner while the body rotates through it, so body
rotation and direction of travel are tracked separately.
The figure ends with the Leader's weight on the left foot (Follower's right),
so it cannot run straight back into itself, nor into step 1 of a Basic Movement.
What follows has to start on the Leader's right foot — steps 6–10 of a Basic
Movement, for instance.
Sub-block naming: “to L” and “to R” in the syllabus refer to the
direction of turn, not the side position. Hand to Hand to L is the Leader's
¼ L turn, stepping LF back into Right Side Position — steps 1–5 here.
Foot, direction, turn, hold and count transcribed from the Leader
and Follower tables in syllabus:chacha:chacha. Floor placement is computed —
the syllabus does not specify distances.
