15.1 DSA reserves the right at its absolute discretion to register, refuse to register, or to withdraw the registration of any competition for which a registration application is made.
15.2 The following competitions are prescribed competitions:
15.3 The registration for a prescribed competition shall include all the terms and conditions that apply to registered competitions, together with such other terms and conditions as set down by the DSA National Board.
15.4 Registered competitions MUST be announced as being licenced by DanceSport Australia and Competition Organisers must, in their notices and advertisements, declare that the competition is so licenced.
15.5 Prescribed titles shall always remain the property of DSA and cannot be permanently granted or assigned to any third party.
15.6 Competitions may not use the term National, Open and/or Championship unless registered as such by DSA.
16.1 Application for registration must be made for any DanceSport competition which is not specifically exempted from registration under these rules.
16.2 Registered competitions must be conducted in accordance with the Rules of DanceSport. A registration may be withdrawn if the Competition Organiser fails to abide by the terms and conditions of registration as set out in the Rules of DanceSport.
16.3 Competition registration shall not be granted unless an electronic application is made via the Competition Registration System on the DSA website. An application for a new competition registration, or change of name for any competition, must be submitted for DSA approval not later than two (2) months prior to the proposed date of the competition.
16.4 Application for competition registration or re-application shall only be considered if made by the Competition Organiser:

16.6 In addition to the information disclosed in the official competition registration application - if the information submitted is not clear, the DSA Executive may request additional information in considering the application for competition registration.
16.7 Once the online competition registration application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the DSA Executive. A competition registration application is not approved until the DSA Executive issues an advice that is it is approved.
16.8 Once the application has been approved, the entry system will be opened, and the word ‘Proposed’ will be removed on the DSA calendar. Notification will be provided to the Competition Organiser once the application is approved.
