===== 11 INTELLECTUAL IMPAIRMENT =====

**11.1** Intellectual Impairment (II) is a lifelong condition that affects a person's intellectual skills and their behaviour in different situations.

**11.2** It can include difficulties in communication, memory, understanding, problem solving, self-care, social and emotional skills and physical skills.

**11.3** Eligible persons entering an II event must have an intellectual impairment and provide a health assessment form completed by an Australian Medical Practitioner.

**11.4** The goal of Classification is to have a system in place where competition is fair for all competitors.
