====== Intellectual Impairment Sport Classification ====== {{anchor:p11}} ===== 11 INTELLECTUAL IMPAIRMENT ===== {{anchor:p11_1}} **11.1** Intellectual Impairment (II) is a lifelong condition that affects a person's intellectual skills and their behaviour in different situations. {{anchor:p11_2}} **11.2** It can include difficulties in communication, memory, understanding, problem solving, self-care, social and emotional skills and physical skills. {{anchor:p11_3}} **11.3** Eligible persons entering an II event must have an intellectual impairment and provide a health assessment form completed by an Australian Medical Practitioner. {{anchor:p11_4}} **11.4** The goal of Classification is to have a system in place where competition is fair for all competitors. \\ {{anchor:p12}} ===== 12 ELIGIBLE IMPAIRMENTS ===== * **(a)** Autism * **(b)** Downs Syndrome * **(c)** Fragile X Syndrome * **(d)** Cerebral Palsy * **(e)** Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder * **(f)** Brain Injury
